Julie Mellor

Julie Mellor lives near Sheffield and holds a PhD from Sheffield Hallam University.
Her poems have appeared in various magazines including Ambit, Magma, The North, The Rialto, Shearsman and Stand, as well as online journals including Rise Up Review and Streetcake. She has won or been placed in a number of competitions, including the Barnet Open, judged by Martyn Crucefix, the Brittle Star poetry competition, judged by Mimi Khalvati and the Nottingham Open, judged by Liz Berry.

The title poem of her pamphlet, Breathing Through Our Bones, was a runner up in The Elmet Open Poetry competition, and voted best Yorkshire entry.
