Geoff Hattersley was born in 1956. His many books include Port of Entry(Littlewood 1989), Don’t Worry(Bloodaxe 1994), Harmonica (Wrecking Ball 2003), and his Back of Beyond: New & Selected Poems (Smith/ Doorstop 2006). He edited The Wide Skirt Press from 1986 until 1998. Geoff is currently Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow at Huddersfield University.

Geoff Hattersley’s first publication since his New & Selected Poems is as mordantly funny and hard-hitting as ever. In Outside the Blue Hebium he visits the moon landings, New Year’s Eve, infamous misprints, animal experimentation labs, the miners’ strike, and some of the desperate characters inhabiting the post- industrial landscape of his native South Yorkshire.
