Paul Batchelor

Paul Batchelor’s pamphlet, To Photograph a Snow Crystal, was a winner in the 2005 Book & Pamphlet Competition and published by (Smith/Doorstop) in 2006.

His first full-length collection of poems was The Sinking Road (Bloodaxe) in 2008, he has also published a chapbook, The Love Darg (Clutag, 2014).

At Newcastle University, Paul wrote a PhD on the poetry of Barry MacSweeney, and he edited a book of essays, Reading Barry MacSweeney (Bloodaxe, 2013).

He reviews poetry for the Times Literary Supplement, The New Statesman, and Poetry, and is currently Director of Creative Writing at Durham University.
